The city of Giengen has a large population of people and families with a so-called migrant background and is a constant destination for new immigrants from different parts of Europe and the world. The reasons for settling in Giengen are manifold and the conditions for a successful arrival in our urban community are also different. Especially for families whose children attend our schools, we would like to face the possible hurdles with assistance. This is where the project “Intercultural Parent mentors – Parents help parents” is to start.
For these tasks, we are looking for parents who would be willing to act as mentors.

Language mediators
Support sought!
The Treffpunkt Integration seeks support in the translation of conversations and documents with counsellors or parents who do not yet speak enough German.
If you have a good knowledge of German in addition to your native language and are available for mediation and translation if necessary, please pass on your contact details to the integration meeting point and contact us.
Unfortunately, we cannot pay compensation for the translation.
